Salman Haidar
Salman Haidar is a former Indian diplomat who served as the Foreign Secretary of India. His tenure was from 1 March 1995 to 30 June 1997. He also served as high commissioner of India to the United Kingdom from January to July, 1998. Personal life Haidar graduated from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and Cambridge University. He has a son, Nadeem Haidar (SOAS alumnus) and a daughter, Navina Najat Haidar, author and art curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Nadeem Haidar is married to Suhasini Haidar, daughter of BJP politician Subramanian Swamy. The foreign secretary of India ( IAST: ''Videśa Saciva'') is the top diplomat of India and administrative head of the Ministry of External Affairs. This post is held by an Indian foreign service officer of the rank of secretary to the government of India. Vinay Mohan Kwatra is an Indian diplomat and currently serving as the Foreign Secretary of India from May 2022, succeeding Harsh Vardhan Shringla. As an officer of the rank of secretary to the government of India, the foreign secretary ranks 23rd on the Indian Order of Precedence. Krishnan Srinivasan
Krishnan Srinivasan (born 15 February 1937) is a retired Indian diplomat, historian, author, former Indian Foreign Secretary, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations . He was born in Madras, India and educated at Bedford School and Christ Church, Oxford. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in May 1959. His early postings included Oslo, Beirut, and Tripoli. He was India's Ambassador/ High Commissioner to Zambia and Botswana, Nigeria, Benin and Cameroon, the Netherlands and Bangladesh. He was appointed Secretary and finally Foreign Secretary and retired in 1995. Navina Najat Haidar
Navina Najat Haidar is an art historian and curator, and currently serves as the chief curator of Islamic art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Life Haidar was born in London to Salman Haidar, an Indian diplomat, and Kusum Haidar, an Indian stage actress. She was educated in India, and also spent parts of her childhood in Afghanistan, Bhutan, and New York, as a consequence of her father's diplomatic postings. She was initially educated in India at Bal Bharati School in Delhi, Lawrence School Sanawar and St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. She later studied at Oxford University, where she completed a doctorate in art history, studying the Kishangarh school of painting in the 18th century. Subramanian Swamy
Subramanian Swamy (born 15 September 1939) is an Indian politician, economist and statistician. Before joining politics, he was a professor of Mathematical Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is known for his Hindu nationalist views. Swamy was a member of the Planning Commission of India and was a Cabinet Minister in the Chandra Shekhar government. Between 1994 and 1996, Swamy was Chairman of the Commission on Labour Standards and International Trade under former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao. Swamy was a long-time member of the Janata Party, serving as its president until 2013 when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
