''Sally of the Subway'' is a 1932 American Pre-Code Hollywood, pre-Code crime film directed by George B. Seitz and starring Jack Mulhall, Dorothy Revier and Blanche Mehaffey. It was produced as a second feature for release by Mayfair Pictures.Pitts p.240 Plot A gang of jewel thieves use an exiled member of German royalty as an unwitting part of their scheme to rob a major New York City, New York jewellery company. Huntley Ashworth Gordon (October 8, 1879 – December 7, 1956) was a Canadian actor who began his career in the Silent Film era. Profile Gordon was born in Montreal, Quebec, educated in both Canada and England. He had various jobs including working in a bank, in a silver mine, contracting, as a commercial traveller, and being a cigarette factory owner before settling on the stage and at one time acted with Ethel Barrymore. His Broadway credits included ''Life'' (1914) and ''Our Mrs. McChesney'' (1915). He began his screen career in 1916 when given a chance by Thomas Ince. Gordon was once a model for Arrow Collars; he was once painted by American commercial illustrator J. C. Leyendecker. He served in the Canadian Army during World War I and began a career in motion pictures in England where he had been stationed during the war. Bob Reeves (actor)
Robert Reeves (January 28, 1892 – April 12, 1960) was an American Western movie actor. Early years Robert Jasper Reeves was born in Marlin, Texas, the son of George Patton Reeves and Frances Luella Garrett, in 1892. He attended Marlin High School and Texas A&M University. During World War I he served in the United States Army in the Coast Artillery in California, and was discharged in December, 1918. Career Reeves won championships in rodeo competition and worked as a stunt double for Universal before he became an actor. His film career began as early as 1919, when he starred in an 18-chapter serial, ''The Great Radium Mystery''. He appeared in a number of silent films and sixteen sound films. In 1921 he was teamed with Marion Aye in a series of 18 Cactus Features directed by Albert S. Rogell.
