Sally Cairns
Sally (or Sara or Sarah) Jane Cairns (December 7, 1919 – February 9, 1965) was an American film actress. She appeared in over 15 films between 1940 and 1944. Early years The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Cairns, she studied at California High School (Pennsylvania) in California, Pennsylvania. As a youngster, she performed with the Stone House Players community theater group. In 1939 she had her first lead with the group. Career Cairns sang with the Ted Waldron Orchestra. During her junior year at Duquesne University, she won the local '' Gateway to Hollywood'' acting competition, beating out over 500 applicants. She finished second in the national competition, losing to Gale Storm. Upon arriving in Hollywood in 1940, Cairns made her film debut with cowboy star Addison Randall in ''Covered Wagon Trails''. Roscoe, Pennsylvania
Roscoe is a borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 716 at the 2020 census. History Roscoe became the home for many eastern European immigrants who came to the area to work in nearby coal mine. Slovaks, Poles, Serbs, Croatians, Italians, Hungarians, and Rusyns are all represented in census records of the area from 1880 and onward. The Allenport & Roscoe Street Railway was formed in 1903 and was purchased by Pittsburgh Railways to form part of their interurban line to Pittsburgh in 1906. The extension to Roscoe was completed on June 20, 1910. The line was closed in 1953. ''Three Smart Saps'' is a 1942 short subject directed by Jules White starring American slapstick comedy team The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard). It is the 64th entry in the series released by Columbia Pictures starring the comedians, who released 190 shorts for the studio between 1934 and 1959. Plot The Stooges must get their future father-in-law ( John Tyrrell) out of jail. Apparently, the father is a prison warden who has been overthrown and put behind bars by the local mafia. The Stooges manage to sneak into the prison, find the father-in-law to be, and start snapping as many incriminating photos of the mafia's party as possible. Colorectal cancer (CRC), also known as bowel cancer, colon cancer, or rectal cancer, is the development of cancer from the colon or rectum (parts of the large intestine). Signs and symptoms may include blood in the stool, a change in bowel movements, weight loss, and fatigue. Most colorectal cancers are due to old age and lifestyle factors, with only a small number of cases due to underlying genetic disorders. RKO Radio Pictures Inc., commonly known as RKO Pictures or simply RKO, was an American film production and distribution company, one of the "Big Five" film studios of Hollywood's Golden Age. The business was formed after the Keith-Albee-Orpheum (KAO) theater chain and Joseph P. It is the 70th entry in the series released by Columbia Pictures starring the comedians, who released 190 shorts for the studio between 1934 and 1959. Plot The Stooges bid a fond farewell to their girls, Tizzy, Lizzy and Dizzy and join the war effort by enlisting in the Merchant Marines. While aboard ship, they have a brief altercation with Lt. Dungen (Vernon Dent), a Nazi spy, and then mistake a torpedo for a beached whale. Moe says they have to kill it, and it promptly explodes. After being lost at sea for several days, they come across the ''SS Schicklgruber'' and climb aboard. Now with fully grown beards, they encounter Lt. Dungen again, who does not recognize them.
