Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro
''Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro'' () is a 1989 Indian film directed by Saeed Akhtar Mirza, with Pavan Malhotra as lead. The film won Best Feature Film in Hindi and Best Cinematography at 37th National Film Awards. Plot The film is set in the period of the 1980s. The story revolves around Salim Pasha, a man with a physical disability. He is involved in crimes like extortion and robbery with two of his friends Peera and Abdul. Salim is a carefree man. He lives with his parents and his younger sister. Salim's younger brother Javed Pasha (who has been a hard-working student all his life) dies because of an electric shock. Saeed Akhtar Mirza
Saeed Akhtar Mirza (born 30 June 1943) is an Indian screenwriter and director in Hindi films and television. He is the maker of notable parallel films such as ''Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho!'' (1984), '' Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai'' (1980), ''Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro'' (1989) and '' Naseem'' (1995), which won two National Film Awards in 1996. Saeed Mirza Was Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at ICA - International Cultural Artifact Film Festival in 2020. Thomas Beach Alter (22 June 1950 – 29 September 2017) was an Indian actor. He was best known for his works in Hindi cinema, and Indian theatre. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Early life Born in Mussoorie in present-day Uttarakhand, Alter was the son of American Presbyterian missionaries of English, Scottish and Swiss German ancestry and lived for years in Mumbai and the Himalayan hill station of Landour.
