Carlos Salguero
Carlos Salguero (10 June 1955 – 26 December 2006) was an Argentine professional football forward. He died aged 51 from cancer in 2006. He spent one season in the North American Soccer League, one in the United Soccer League and nearly ten in various indoor leagues. Salguero also coached the Buffalo Blizzard of the National Professional Soccer League for one season. Career Salguero began his professional career with Boca Juniors In 1981, he moved north to play for the Calgary Boomers in the North American Soccer League. In the fall of 1981, he signed with the Kansas City Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League. The Comets traded him to the Buffalo Stallions in exchange for Yilmaz Orhan and Zoran Savic. Elizabeth Cristina Salguero Carrillo (born 12 December 1964) is a Bolivian diplomat, journalist, politician, and women's rights activist who served as minister of cultures from 2011 to 2012. A member of the Movement for Socialism, she previously served as a party-list member of the Chamber of Deputies from La Paz from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, she was elected as a substitute party-list member of the Chamber of Deputies from La Paz but resigned before taking office in order to launch an ultimately unsuccessful La Paz mayoral campaign. Gabriel Salguero is an Argentinian former footballer who played in the Ecuadorian Serie A, Canadian Professional Soccer League, and the Primera B Metropolitana. Gerónimo Salguero
Gerónimo Salguero de Cabrera Moynos (1774 — 25 February 1847), sometimes seen as Luis Jerónimo Cabrera y Cabrera or some variant, was an Argentine statesman and lawyer. He was a representative to the Congress of Tucumán, which on 9 July 1816 declared the Independence of Argentina. Salguero was born in Córdoba to an influential local family. A relative, Diego Salguero de Cabrera, had been bishop of Arequipa, and an ancestor, Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera, had established the city of Córdoba in 1573. He was educated at the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat and graduated in civil law in 1796 at the University of San Carlos, both in Córdoba. He married María Josefa Rolón; they had no children. José Antonio Salguero García (born 25 January 1960) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a central defender. In La Liga, he played almost exclusively with Real Madrid (six seasons) and Sevilla (five), winning six titles with the former club. His professional career lasted 17 years.
