Salgaocar Football Club
Salgaocar Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Vasco, Goa, that competes in the Goa Professional League. They have also played in the I-League, then top flight of Indian football league system. Founded in 1956, the club is owned by the V. M. Salgaocar Group of Companies. Salgaocar has won 21 Goa League Championships, 4 Federation Cups, 3 Durand Cups, 3 Rovers Cups, 2 Indian Super Cups and the National Football League in 1998–99 and I-League in 2010–11. They became the first Goan side to win the NFL in 1998–99 under the guidance of coach Shabbir Ali. It is also the first Goan club to win the following: Goa Super Division, Federation Cup, Goa Professional League, Durand Cup and the former Indian Super Cup. Duler Stadium
Duler Stadium is a football stadium located in Mapusa, Goa, India. It is the former home of local I-League clubs who participated in the highest level of football in the country. Dempo SC, Salgaocar FC, and Sporting Clube de Goa use the venue for most of their home games. It also serves as home ground for other Goa Professional League clubs such as Vasco. I-League 2nd Division
I-League 2, previously known as I-League 2nd Division and officially known as or Hero I-League 2 (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), is an Indian men's professional football league. It is the 3rd tier of Indian football, behind Indian Super League and I-League. It operates as a system of promotion with I-League (final qualifying phase of state leagues teams). In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic in India, the league format was changed into I-League Qualifiers. To avoid confusion with I-League being the second tier, the league was renamed to I-League 2 by AIFF in 2022. The 2nd Division league was introduced from the 2008 season, having been previously known as the National Football League 2nd Division. State FA's nominate teams who have finished at the top of their respective state leagues (or passing the required criteria).
