Salesian College Celbridge
Salesian College Celbridge is a secondary school catering for male students aged 12–19 around the County Kildare village of Celbridge. History The Salesian College, Celbridge was originally formed in 1981 in a disused primary school on the Hazeltatch Road, which is now the Church of Ireland Primary School. Fr. Tony McEvoy SDB was the first principal with four staff members and fifty-five students. In the summer of 1984, the school moved to a newly-built premises, where it remains today. The new school and sports grounds are situated on fifteen acres, and there have been a number of developments and extensions since then. As of 2019, the school has over 700 students and over 50 staff. Subjects Salesians offers Junior Certificate, Transition Year, and Leaving Certificate courses, as well as a unit for autistic youths. Celbridge
Celbridge (; ) is a town and townland on the River Liffey in County Kildare, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is west of Dublin. Both a local centre and a commuter town within the Greater Dublin Area, it is located at the intersection of the R403 road (Ireland), R403 and R405 road (Ireland), R405 Regional road (Ireland), regional roads. Damien Rice
Damien George Rice (born 7 December 1973) is an Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Daniel O'Reilly (born 11 April 1995) is an Irish footballer who plays for Hamilton Academical as a centre back. Early life O'Reilly was born in Dublin. He grew up in Celbridge and attended Salesian College Celbridge. Club career O'Reilly played underage football for Cherry Orchard before being signed by Fulham Academy in November 2010 aged 15. On 30 January 2014, O'Reilly was sent to Walton Casuals on a one month loan. He stayed at Fulham in four years before being released, then had a brief stay at Southern Premier League Hereford United in 2014 before the club collapsed. He subsequently moved to Bishop's Stortford and then returned to Ireland to play with Bray Wanderers.
