Salangsdalen is a river valley in Bardu Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The river Salangselva flows north through the valley. The valley ends in the middle of Bardu, near the town of Setermoen. The European route E6 highway runs north and south through the valley. The Polar Park is located in Salangsdalen—it is known as the northernmost zoo in the world. The Salangsdalen Chapel is located in the southern part of the valley. Salangsdalen Chapel
Salangsdalen Chapel ( no, Salangsdalen kapell) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Bardu Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the southern part of Bardu in the Salangsdalen valley, just east of the European route E06 highway and not far from the Polar Park. It is an annex chapel for the Bardu parish which is part of the Senja prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The brown, wooden church was built in 1981 using plans drawn up by the architects Dalsbø and Østgård. The church seats about 110 people. Salangselva is a river in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The long river runs through the municipalities of Salangen and Bardu. Setermoen
Setermoen is the administrative centre of Bardu Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the Barduelva river, about east of the village of Sjøvegan and about south of Bardufoss. The local council proclaimed city status for Setermoen in 1999, but this was rejected by the government of Norway since the municipality has less than 5,000 inhabitants. European Route E6
European route E6 ( no, Europavei 6, sv, Europaväg 6, or simply E6) is the main north-south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border. Polar Park (Norway)
Polar Park is an animal park in the municipality of Bardu in Troms county, Norway. The park opened on 18 June 1994, displaying animals in their natural habitat. With only 12 enclosures on , the park claims to have one of the world's biggest area-per-animal ratio. It also notes that it is the world's "most northern animal park." Rohkunborri National Park
Rohkunborri National Park ( no, Rohkunborri nasjonalpark, sme, Rohkunborri álbmotmeahcci) is a national park in Troms county, Norway, that was established in 2011. The park consists of a protected area, and is located in Bardu Municipality along the border with Sweden, about southeast of the village of Setermoen and about northeast of the town of Narvik. Rohkunborri borders on the Swedish Vadvetjåkka National Park to the south, and it is located less than south of Øvre Dividal National Park. The park includes parts of the Sørdalen valley (canyon), the large lake Geavdnjajávri, and the mountain Rohkunborri.
