Sakarya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü, more commonly known as Sakarya BB was a Turkish professional basketball club based in Sakarya which played two seasons in the Turkish Basketball Super League (TBL). The team was founded and sponsored by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality in 2013. Their home arena was Sakarya Sports Hall with a capacity of 5,000 seats. In the 2016–17 season, Sakarya were promoted to the first tier Basketbol Süper Ligi for the first time in club history. In the 2017–18 season, they would make their European debut as they qualified for the Basketball Champions League qualification rounds. However, at the end of 2018–19 season, they finished in last place of the Basketbol Süper Ligi and were relegated to Turkish Basketball First League. Turkish Basketball First League
The Turkish Basketball First League, also called TBL, is the second-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously known as Turkish Basketball Second League (TB2L). Format and promotion and relegation There are a total of 16 teams participating in the league for the ''2019–20 TBL season''. Each team plays each other in their group twice during the regular season. Fribourg Olympic Basket, commonly known as Fribourg Olympic, is a Swiss professional basketball club that is based in Fribourg. Due to name sponsorship reasons, the former name of the club was Benetton Fribourg. The club is a seventeen-time Swiss Basketball League champion. Toney Bernard Douglas (born March 16, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Benfica of the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol. He played college basketball for Auburn for one year, eventually becoming frustrated with his role on the team as a shooting guard. Gian Louis Clavell López (born November 26, 1993) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for Prometey of the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.
