Saint James is a civil parish in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada, located north of St. Stephen. For governance purposes, Little Ridge and areas to the south are part of the town of the Municipal District of St. Stephen, while the rest of the parish is part of the Southwest rural district, both of which are members of the Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission. Prior to the 2023 governance reform, it comprised one local service district (LSD) and part of a second, both of which were members of the Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission (SNBSC). The Census subdivision of the same name shares the parish's borders. Origin of name Historian William Francis Ganong believed the name suggested by other Saint names in the area. The route starts at the Canada/US Border in a densely wooded area near King Brook Lake. The road travels southeast through Gleason Road and Pomeroy Ridge to Route 730 in Scotch Ridge. New Brunswick Route 3
Route 3 is 92 kilometres long and goes from Route 170 in St. Stephen to Route 2 (the Trans-Canada Highway) at Longs Creek, near Fredericton. From St. Stephen, Route 3 goes north along the west bank of Dennis Stream, through the community of Moores Mills. The road turns northeast through Lawrence Station and mostly uninhabited land to meet Route 4 near York Mills. From there, Route 3 continues in a northeasterly direction through Harvey Station, then turns north to the Trans-Canada Highway at Longs Creek. There have been no major changes or realignments to Route 3 since the 1950s. York County (2016 population 99,411) is located in west-central New Brunswick, Canada. The county contains the provincial capital, Fredericton.
