Saint Andrews International High School
St. Andrew's International School in Blantyre, Malawi, was founded 1938 by the Church of Scotland Mission in Blantyre. The high school in its present form was established in 1958. Yvonne Mhango is a Malawian economist. She is the economist for Sub-Saharan Africa at Renaissance Capital. She was then admitted to the University of Cape Town in 1999, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Science in 2002. Aaron Sangala
Aaron Sangala (born 1958) is a politician who was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Security in the cabinet of Malawi in May 2009. Artistic and educational career Aaron Sangala was born in 1958, grandson of James Frederick Sangala, a founding member of the Nyasaland African Congress. Sangala worked for Lever Brothers (1974–1981), for the French Embassy teaching modern languages at the French Cultural Centre, and at St. Andrews High School teaching music. Ammara Pinto (born 14 September 1997) is a Malawian swimmer. She has represented Malawi at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the World Aquatics Championships. Early life Pinto was born on 14 September 1997 in Blantyre. Her sister Zahra Pinto is also an Olympic swimmer and represented Mali at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She attended Saint Andrews International High School, which was also the alma mater of swimmer Joyce Tafatatha. Chapanga Mulenga "Peter" Wilson III (February 8, 1978 – June 18, 2014) was a Tanzanian poet whose book ''Words by My Mood'' is an anthology of poetry detailing his life experiences. The Real Elements is a Malawian hip-hop band that gained notoriety in the 1990s and 2000s in Malawi. The group consisted of Marvel, Plan B, Stix, and Q. The group holds a special place in the Malawian music industry because it propagated Malawian hip-hop and paved the way for the Malawian hip-hop genre at a time when they were a few hip-hop artists in Malawi. Their music was considered the cutting edge in the Malawi music scene. Critics argue that is the best urban group that has come out of Malawi. They performed in Malawi and their music was also featured on Channel O beaming Malawian hip-hop for the first time to a Pan African audience.
