Saif Sporting Club is an association football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It currently competes in the Bangladesh Football Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football. The club is owned by Saif Powertec Limited. The main goal of the club is to bring professionalism in every step. History Saif Sporting Club formed officially in August 2016. On September 10, 2016 Bangladesh Football Federation gave the green signal to the club to participate in 2016 Bangladesh Championship League. Inaugural season (2015–16) The club appointed the Serbian Nikola Kavazovic as their first head coach in September 2016. He was the first ever foreign coach in Bangladesh Championship League history, which is the second-tier football league of the country. Riyadul Hasan Rafi was the first ever captain of the club. Kim Tyrone Grant (born 25 September 1972) is a former professional footballer who has been involved in top level professional football for over 24 years, playing in Europe and Asia. Club career Born in Sekondi-Takoradi, Grant started his career at Charlton Athletic in their youth system and he signed his first professional contract in March 1991. He went on to make 155 appearances spanning over nine years and scoring 25 goals. He later made appearances for Charlton against Manchester United and Liverpool in the FA Cup and scored a 20-yard curler to beat David James in a 2–1 defeat to in 1996. Muktijoddha Sangsad KC ( bn, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ ক্রীড়া চক্র) is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club is nicknamed The Freedom Fighters. History Early Years Founded in 1981, by the Muktijoddha Sangsad welfare association, in remembrance of the Freedom Fighters that died in Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War.
