Said Ali
Said Ali (born October 26, 1980) is a Jordanian-born Canadian former soccer player who began his career in 2004 with Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Pro Select League. After a successful season in the USL Pro Select League he managed to play in the USL First Division with the Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Toronto Lynx. He would later conclude his career in the Canadian Soccer League with the Serbian White Eagles, and Hamilton Croatia. Playing career College soccer Ali began playing soccer at the college level in 2002 while attending Robert Morris University. In his first season with Robert Morris he was named to the All-Northeast Conference first team after contributing 11 goals and 3 assists. The following season he netted in 13 goals and recorded four assists, and for the second consecutive year was named to the All-Northeast Conference first team. Canadian Soccer League 2008 Season
The 2008 Canadian Soccer League season was the 11th since its establishment where a total of 16 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 16, 2008, and ended on October 26 with the Serbian White Eagles claiming their first championship by defeating Trois-Rivières Attak 2-1 in a penalty shootout. This was the third consecutive year the White Eagles had reached the CSL finals losing respectively to Italia Shooters in 2006, and to rivals Toronto Croatia in 2007. While during the regular season Italia won their second division title with Trois-Rivières becoming the first Quebec team to claim the National Division title. Toronto FC Academy, also known as TFC Academy, is the youth academy and development system of Canadian Major League Soccer club Toronto FC. The academy has divisions from U14 to U19 and includes over 110 young players. The senior academy team is known as Toronto FC III.
