Sahith Theegala
Sahith Reddy Theegala (born December 4, 1997) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early life Theegala was born in 1997 in Fullerton, California, to Muralidhar and Karuna Theegala and has a younger brother. He is of Indian descent, with his family immigrating to the United States from Telangana, India in the late 1980s. Amateur career Theegala was a three-time NCAA All-American at Pepperdine University. In his final year at Pepperdine, Theegala won the Southwestern Invitational, the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, and the Australian Master of the Amateurs. His collegiate career was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the 2020 season to end early, with his Pepperdine team ranked first in the nation. In 2020, Theegala won the Haskins Award, the Ben Hogan Award, and the Jack Nicklaus Award, becoming just the fifth person ever to win all three awards in the same year. Korn Ferry Tour Championship
The Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance is the year-end golf tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour. It has been played at a variety of courses; starting in 2019 it will be played at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana as part of a 10-year deal. Since the 2008 edition, the purse has been $1,000,000, with the winner receiving $180,000. The format of the tournament is stroke play at 18 holes for four days, a total of 72 holes. Originally, the field consisted of the top 60 players on the money list, all attempting to be among the 25 to earn PGA Tour cards. Kim Seong-hyeon ( ko, 김성현; born 17 September 1998) is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has also played on the Japan Golf Tour and the Korean Tour. He won the 2020 KPGA Championship on the Korean Tour and the 2021 Japan PGA Championship on the Japan Golf Tour. Professional career Kim turned professional in late 2017. The 2022–23 PGA Tour is the 108th season of the PGA Tour, and the 56th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 15, 2022. The 2023 FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin on August 10, and conclude on August 27, 2023. The Genesis Invitational is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in southern California, first played in 1926 as the Los Angeles Open. Other previous names include Genesis Open, Northern Trust Open and Nissan Open. The Tour Championship (stylized as the TOUR Championship) is a golf tournament that is part of the PGA Tour. It has historically been one of the final events of the PGA Tour season; prior to 2007, its field consisted exclusively of the top 30 money leaders of the past PGA Tour season.
