Zahamena National Park
Zahamena National Park is a national park of Madagascar. Established in 1997, it covers an area of out of a total protected area of . It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rainforests of the Atsinanana, inscribed in 2007 and consisting of 13 specific areas located within eight national parks in the eastern part of Madagascar. In 2001, Bird Life International assessed avifauna of 112 species of which 67 species are exclusively endemic to Madagascar. The park is habitat for 112 bird species, 46 reptile species, 62 species of amphibians and 48 species of mammals, including 13 species of lemurs. The ethnic groups inhabiting the area are mostly Betsimisaraka and Sihanak. Sahatavy
Sahatavy is a town and commune ( mg, kaominina) in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Vavatenina, which is a part of Analanjirofo Region in Toamasina Province. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 16,334 inhabitants in 2018.Troisieme Recensement General Primary and junior level secondary education are available in town. The majority 95% of the population of the commune are farmers. The most important crop is rice, while other important products are coffee and cloves.
