''Sahara'' is the second studio album by the American Rock music, rock band House of Lords (band), House of Lords, released on August 21, 1990. The album was recorded without original guitarist Lanny Cordola, but with Doug Aldrich as the band's guitarist. Still, the album features many guest contributors on guitar, such as Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Chris Impellitteri (Impellitteri) and Mandy Meyer (Asia (band), Asia, Krokus (band), Krokus). Other contributors on the albums are White Lion's Mike Tramp, Cheap Trick's Robin Zander, Steeler (American band), Steeler's Ron Keel, Autograph (U.S. band), Autograph's Steve Plunkett and Giuffria's David Glen Eisley, all on backing vocals. The album reached position No. 121 in The Billboard 200 chart on February 23, 1991. "Heart on the Line", which was written by Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, would eventually be recorded by Cheap Trick themselves for their 2016 album ''Bang, Zoom, Crazy... Hello''. House Of Lords (band)
House of Lords is an American rock band based out of Connecticut, with members in New Jersey and Florida. History House of Lords was formed in 1987 by former Angel member and keyboardist Gregg Giuffria following his solo project Giuffria. After listening to demos – originally intended for Giuffria's third record – a record deal with Gene Simmons' company Simmons Records was agreed upon, on two conditions: to change the band's name (to House of Lords) and to recruiter a new lead singer (firing David Glen Eisley in the process). James Christian replaced Eisley. Christian was suggested by ex-Giuffria and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, after having worked together in L.A. Rocks. House of Lords' eponymous debut was released in 1988, featuring a heavier sound than Giuffria’s and less prominent keyboards. Chris Impellitteri (born September 25, 1964) is the American lead guitarist and founder of the heavy metal band Impellitteri. Impellitteri is heralded as one of the greatest guitar shredders. He has won Best Rock Guitarist awards on several magazines during the years for his guitar soloing. David Glen Eisley (born September 5, 1952) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and actor. Personal life Eisley was born in Los Angeles, California and is the son of actor Anthony Eisley and Judith Tubbs Eisley. Giuffria was an American rock band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1981 by Gregg Giuffria after his departure from the band Angel. History Giuffria was formed as Gregg Giuffria's side project in 1981 after his departure from Angel. At the onset, Giuffria had intended to forge this project under the 'Angel' moniker, until several members of the band took suit. Autograph is an American glam metal band formed in Pasadena, California, in 1983. The band is best known for their 1984 hit song " Turn Up the Radio". Due to the song being their only major success, Autograph is often considered a one-hit wonder. Steeler (American Band)
Steeler was an early 1980s American heavy metal band that featured Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen upon his arrival in the United States. The band was founded in 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee, by vocalist Ron Keel and released one album on Shrapnel Records in 1983 before morphing into Keel. Robin Zander
Robin Wayne Zander (born January 23, 1953) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Cheap Trick, but is also a solo artist. Zander was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 as a member of Cheap Trick. Early life Zander was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, and grew up in nearby Loves Park, Illinois. Michael Trempenau (born 14 January 1961), better known as Mike Tramp, is a Danish singer best known for his work with the glam metal band White Lion. White lions in the area of Timbavati are thought to have been indigenous to the Timbavati region of South Africa for centuries, although the earliest recorded sighting in this region was in 1938.
