Sagure
Sagure is a town in south-eastern Ethiopia. Located in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia, this town has a latitude and longitude of with an elevation of 2568 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Digeluna Tijo, woreda. Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Sagure has an estimated total population of 9960 of whom 4597 were males and 5363 were females. The 1994 census reported this town had a total population of 5,582 of whom 2,493 were males and 3,089 were females. Records at the Nordic Africa Institute website include the results of a survey performed by members of the Chilalo Agricultural Development Union. In April 1967 they reported that Sagure had about 400 households with a little more than 1,300 settled inhabitants, but there could be 8,000 visitors on the market day. Digeluna Tijo
Digeluna Tijo is a woreda in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Arsi Zone, Digeluna Tijo is bordered on the south by Bekoji, on the southwest by Munesa, on the northwest by Tiyo, on the north by Hitosa, on the northeast by Tena, and on the east by Sherka. The administrative center of this woreda is Sagure; other towns include Digelu and Tijo. Overview The altitude of this woreda ranges from 2500 to 3560 meters above sea level; Mount Boraluku is the highest point. Rivers include the Katar, Ashebeka and Gusha. Arsi Zone
Arsi ( om, Godina Arsii) is a zone in Oromia Region of Ethiopia, named after a clan of the Oromo, who inhabit in the area. Arsi is bordered on the south by Bale Zone, on the southwest by the West Arsi Zone, on the northwest by East Shewa Zone, on the north by the Afar Region and on the east by West Hararghe Zone. It covers an area of 19,825.22 km2, divided into 25 districts (''weredas''). The population was officially estimated at 3,894,248 in mid 2022. The highest point in Arsi Zone is Mount Chilalo; other notable mountains in this zone include Mount Kaka and Mount Gugu. The Central Statistical Agency (CSA; Amharic: ማዕከላዊ ስታቲስቲክስ ኤጀንሲ) is an agency of the government of Ethiopia designated to provide all surveys and censuses for that country used to monitor economic and social growth, as well as to act as an official training center in that field. It is part of the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. The Director General of the CSA is Samia Zekaria.
