is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. , the city has an estimated population of 723,470, with 334,812 households, and a population density of 1,220 persons per km2. The total area of the city is . Sagamihara is the third-most-populous city in the prefecture, after Yokohama and Kawasaki, and the fifth most populous suburb of the Greater Tokyo Area. Its northern neighbor is Machida, with which a cross-prefectural merger has been proposed. On April 1, 2010, the city became the 19th city designated by government ordinance. As a result of this, three wards were established: Midori-ku, Chūō-ku and Minami-ku. Geography Sagamihara covers a large area of northwestern Kanagawa Prefecture. is a major passenger interchange railway station located in the city of Sagamihara, Kanagawa, Japan and operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway operator Keio Corporation. Lines Hashimoto Station is served by the Yokohama Line and Sagami Line operated by JR East, as well as the Keio Sagamihara Line. It is from , from , and from . Sagami-Ōno Station
is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Odakyu Electric Railway. Lines Sagami-Ono Station is served by both the Odakyu Odawara Line and the Odakyu Enoshima Line. It is 32.4 kilometers from the Tokyo terminus of the Odawara Line at , and is also the northern terminus of the Enoshima Line to . Keio Sagamihara Line
The is a Japanese railway line operated by the private railway operator Keio Corporation, connecting Hashimoto Station in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture and Chōfu Station in Chōfu, Tokyo. Station list Rapid and Semi express services stop at all stations on this line. ;Notes: History The line opened as a one-stop single-track spur from Chōfu to Keiō-Tamagawa on 1 June 1916, electrified at 600 V DC, and was double-tracked on 1 April 1924. The Yokohama Line ( ja, 横浜線, ) is a Japanese railway line of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) connecting Higashi-Kanagawa Station in Yokohama, Kanagawa and Hachiōji Station in Hachiōji, Tokyo.
