Saddleback Mountain is a mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine. Saddleback Mountain stands within the watershed of the Pleasant River, which drains into the Penobscot River, and then into Penobscot Bay. The northeast end of Saddleback Mountain drains from Crater Pond into South Inlet Brook, then into B Pond, Guernsey Brook, and the East Branch of the Pleasant River. The easternmost part of Saddleback drains into Mud Gauntlet Brook, then into Ebeemee Lake, and the East Branch of the Pleasant River. The southeast side of Saddleback drains into the Middle Branch of the Pleasant River. The southwest end of Saddleback drains into Saddleback Brook, then into Silver Lake, and the West Branch of the Pleasant River. South Twin Lake (Maine)
South Twin Lake having about is wholly within Penobscot County, Maine. It is about west of Millinocket, Maine and is part of the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes. The lake is centered at and has spillway elevation above sea level. It is part of the watershed of the West Branch of the Penobscot River. There is a State-sponsored boat access ramp in Partridge Cove off Maine State Route 11 at . Parallel to the east side of the lake is Route 11 and the tracks of the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway. The north south extent of the lake is about at the east end due to the extent of Partridge Cove at the southeast corner of the lake and the same at the west end due to Lincoln Cove at the northwest end. Piscataquis County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maine. As of the 2020 census, its population was 16,800, making it Maine's least-populous county. Its county seat is Dover-Foxcroft. The county was incorporated on March 23, 1838, taken from the western part of Penobscot County and the eastern part of Somerset County.
