Atmosphere is an American hip hop duo from Minneapolis, Minnesota, consisting of rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and DJ/ producer Ant (Anthony Davis). Since its formation in 1996, the group has released twelve studio albums and ten extended plays. Members The duo is composed of rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and DJ/ producer Ant (Anthony Davis). ''Overcast!'' is the debut studio album by Minneapolis hip hop group Atmosphere, released on August 5, 1997 on Rhymesayers Entertainment. It is the only Atmosphere album to feature MC Spawn trading verses with Slug. Before the album's release, Spawn left the group due to conflicting motives. The cover art is inspired by that of ''Judgment!'', released in 1964 by jazz pianist Andrew Hill. The album was remastered and re-released in 2017 with new artwork and bonus tracks. Whenever is the tenth studio album by American hip hop duo Atmosphere. It was surprise released via Rhymesayers Entertainment on December 13, 2019. On November 8, 2019, the first single, "Bde Maka Ska", was released. Its videoclip, directed by Tomas Askamit, was shot in the location of the eponymous Bde Maka Ska lake in Minneapolis.
