Sabrang Film Awards
The Sabrang Film Awards are an awards ceremony recognizing the best of Bhojpuri cinema. The awards have been presented annually since 2014. The awards are given for the following categories: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor in a Negative Role, Best Actor in A comic role, and Best Debut and many more. Sabrang Film Awards 2019 Sabrang 2019 was held on 4 September 2019 at Atharva College, Malad (Mumbai) and the show was hosted by Awadhesh Mishra, Smrity Sinha, Ritu Singh and Sonalika Prasad. The show was presented by "Godrej Expert Rich Cream"; and the associate sponsors were "Popular Group of Hospitals" and "Krishna Sudama Education Group". Bhojpuri Film
Bhojpuri cinema is an Indian film industry of Bhojpuri-language motion pictures. It is based in western Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh with major production centres in Lucknow and Patna. Bhojpuri cinema is a major part of Bihari cinema. The first Bhojpuri talkie film, ''Ganga Maiyya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo'', was released in 1963 by Vishwanath Shahabadi. The 1980s saw the release of many notable as well as run-of-the-mill Bhojpuri films like ''Bitia Bhail Sayan'', '' Chandwa ke take Chakor'', ''Hamar Bhauji'', ''Ganga Kinare Mora Gaon'' and ''Sampoorna Tirth Yatra''. Kalpana Patowary
Kalpana Patowary is an Indian playback and folk singer from Assam. She sings in 30 languages and has many folk and popular songs to her credit, while Bhojpuri music has been her most dedicated foray. In his book, Cinema Bhojpuri, Avijit Ghosh lauds Patowary for her "remarkable contribution" to Bhojpuri film music.
