Sabine Winton
Sabine Elisabeth Winton (; born 24 April 1965) is an Australian politician. She has been a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since the 2017 state election, representing Wanneroo. She currently serves as a Minister for Early Childhood Education; Child Protection; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence and Community Services. Prior to being elected in 2017, Winton was a teacher for 27 years and also served on the City of Wanneroo Council from 2013 to 2017. Early life and teaching career Winton was born in Ober-Ramstadt in West Germany. She is the daughter of Hans and Sigrid Fenn. In 1973, her family moved from Dieburg to Fairy Meadow near Wollongong, New South Wales. In 1975, Winton's family travelled across the Nullarbor Plain to settle in Yanchep, Western Australia. Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia
Fitzroy Crossing is a small town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, east of Broome and west of Halls Creek. It is approximately from the state capital of Perth. It is above sea level and is situated on a low rise surrounded by the vast floodplains of the Fitzroy River and its tributary Margaret River. At the 2016 census, the population of the Fitzroy Crossing town-site was 1,297; with a further 2,000 or so people living in up to 50 Aboriginal communities scattered throughout the Fitzroy Valley. The Sabines (; lat, Sabini; it, Sabini, all exonyms) were an Italic people who lived in the central Apennine Mountains of the ancient Italian Peninsula, also inhabiting Latium north of the Anio before the founding of Rome. Wanneroo is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Wanneroo.
