Sabina (Latin: ''Sabinum''), also called the Sabine Hills, is a region in central Italy. It is named after Sabina, the territory of the ancient Sabines, which was once bordered by Latium to the south, Picenum to the east, ancient Umbria to the north and Etruria to the west. It was separated from Umbria by the River Nar, today's Nera, and from Etruria by the River Tiber. Today, Sabina is mainly northeast of Rome in the regions Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo. Bina West Miller (1867-1954) was an American businesswoman. She was a leader of the Ladies of the Maccabees. Biography Sabina ("Bina") M. West was born in 1867, in Columbus Township, St. Clair County, Michigan. Beginning her career as a teacher at Capac High School, Miller became a member of the Knights of the Maccabees. She began providing life insurance to women by working with the Maccabees, and helped found the Woman's Benefit Association of the Maccabees. Miller founded one of the first organizations to offer life insurance to women with $500 of borrowed money. She heavily promoted the group, and within a decade grew membership to 100,000 women. Ursula Eriksson and Sabina Eriksson (born 3 November 1967) are Swedish twin sisters who came to national attention in the United Kingdom in May 2008. The twins had been in Ireland before travelling to the UK and boarding a bus for London in Liverpool. Their odd behaviour after exiting the bus at a service station on the M6 motorway caused the driver not to allow them back on board.
