Saber Safar
Saber Safar Fares ( ar, صابر صفر فارس) is a Free Syrian Army colonel, who defected from the Syrian Armed Forces to the FSA in 2013. He was the founder and commander of the Hamza Division and also holds the position of overall commander in the First Army of the Southern Front since 1 January 2015. As of late 2015, he was reportedly the highest ranking FSA officer in southern Syria. Abtaa
Abtaa ( ar, أبطع; transliteration: ''Ibṭaʿ'', also spelled ''Ibta'' or ''Obtei'a'') is a town in southern Syria, administratively part of the Daraa District in the Daraa Governorate. Nearby localities include Da'el to the south, Khirbet Ghazaleh to the southeast, Namer to the east, Qarfa to the northeast and al-Shaykh Maskin to the north. 2015 Southern Syria Offensive
The 2015 Southern Syria offensive, code-named "Operation Martyrs of Quneitra", was an offensive launched in southern Syria during the Syrian Civil War by the Syrian Arab Army, Hezbollah and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces. Government forces also include Iranian sponsored Afghani Shi'ite volunteer militias.
