Sabbat (Japanese Band)
is a Japanese black metal band formed in the early 1980s. On some releases, they showcase a more thrash- and heavy metal-influenced sound. History Sabbat started in 1983 when a band called Evil consisting of bassist Gezol, guitarists Ozny and Elizaveat, drummer Valvin and vocalist Toshiya was formed. Except for Ozny they had been playing together since 1981 in high school bands like Aburamushi, Hot Rod and Black Beast. With the high school bands they played mostly cover versions of new wave of British heavy metal acts like Iron Maiden and Demon, but with Evil the aim was immediately set higher. The band started to write material of their own and the first gig was played in August 1983. In early 1984, Toshiya left the band and Gezol started to take care of vocals as well. During the summer the foursome decided to make the band a number one priority in their lives and the name of the band changed to Sabbat. Adopting the musical style of early NWOBHM and building upon it, they achieved underground celebrity, especially in Scandinavia. Surrender Of Divinity is a black metal act from Bangkok, Thailand. The group was formed in 1996, and released 2 full-length albums during the 2000s. Their 2006 album ''Manifest Blasphemy: The Abortion of the Immaculate Conception'' was reviewed by Metal Hammer. In January 2014, the band's bassist/vocalist Samon "Avaejee" Traisattha, aged 36, was stabbed to death in his own home. Drakkar Productions is a French record label that has released many recordings of black metal bands throughout the world, on CD, cassette and vinyl. They have usually limited the prints to 1,000 copies or less, but some have been known to vary. The label is now notorious for its Les Légions Noires releases, as well as other black metal bands that are known throughout the world. Bestial Warlust was an Australian extreme metal band formed in Melbourne in 1993. They achieved underground cult status as a war metal band. History The band was first formed under the name ''Corpse Molestation'' and at the time played black/death metal with five demos and one demo compilation under the name. Their lyrical themes involved death, war and blasphemy. The band also used pseudonyms instead of actual names to hide their identity. They were one of the pioneers of Australian black metal and extreme metal, recording two black/death metal albums in the mid-nineties before breaking up.
