History The club was established in 2016 and immediately joined the Azerbaijan First Division. After finishing their first season in the Azerbaijan Premier League in 7th position, Samir Aliyev left the role as manager by mutual consent on 22 May 2018. Aftandil Hacıyev was appointed as the club's new manager on 11 June 2018. Bayil Arena ( az, Bayıl Arena) is a stadium in Bayil, Baku, Azerbaijan. It was opened in 2012 and has a capacity of 3,200 spectators. The stadium is owned and operated by AFFA. Vüqar Nadirov
Vüqar Arshad oglu Nadirov ( az, Vüqar Ərşad oğlu Nadirov; born 15 June 1987 in Ağdam) is an Azerbaijani footballer, who last played for Sabail FK. Career Club Nadirov left FK Qarabağ in June 2015 after six years with the club, going on to rejoin FK Khazar Lankaran later in the month. In December 2015, Nadirov left Gabala after six-months with the club, during which he failed to make a first team appearance. On 27 May 2016, Nadirov left Inter Baku after six-months with the club. On 14 July 2016, Nadirov signed a one-year contract with Qarabağ FK. Nadirov was released by Sabail FK at the end of the 2017–18 season. The Sabail FK 2021–22 season was Sabail's fifth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their sixth season in existence. They will compete in the Premier League and the Azerbaijan Cup. The Sabail FK 2020–21 season was Sabail's fourth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their fifth season in existence. They finished the season eighth in the Premier League and reached the Quarterfinals of the Azerbaijan Cup. Season events On 17 July, Sabail announced a new contract had been signed with Head Coach Aftandil Hajiyev for the 2020/2021 season. The 2019–20 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 28th season of the Azerbaijan Premier League with Qarabağ being the defending champions. The season began on 16 August 2019, before being prematurely ended on 19 June 2020. Season events On 13 March 2020, the Azerbaijan Premier League was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
