The following is a list of unproduced Kamal Haasan projects in roughly chronological order. During his long career, Indian film actor-director Kamal Haasan has worked on a number of projects which never progressed beyond the pre-production stage under his acting commitments or direction. Some of these projects fell into development hell or were officially cancelled. 1960s ''Mangala Mangai'' ''Mangala Mangai'', starring Kamal Haasan as a child actor, has not been released. 1980s ''Chamayam'' ''Chamayam'' is a 1981 Malayalam-language movie directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by John Paul Puthusery. Sigappu Rojakkal
''Sigappu Rojakkal'' () is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller film co-written and directed by Bharathirajaa. The film starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi, with Goundamani, Bhagyaraj and Vadivukkarasi in supporting roles. It revolves around Dileep, who is traumatised by women's behaviour in his childhood, and grows up to be a psychopath who kills women after having sex with them. ''Sigappu Rojakkal'' was inspired by serial killer Raman Raghav's crimes, and another serial killer who was based in Bombay but hailed from Tirunelveli. It was deliberately meant to be different from Bharathiraja's earlier ventures which were set in villages. The dialogues were written by Bhagyaraj, cinematography was handled by P. S. Nivas, and the music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Kamal plays an anti-hero in this film. Mani Ratnam
Gopala Ratnam Subramaniam (born 2 June 1956), known professionally as Mani Ratnam, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema and few Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films. Ratnam has won six National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards, six Filmfare Awards South, and numerous awards at various film festivals across the world. Ananthu (screenwriter)
Ananthu was an Indian screenwriter working on Tamil language films, often collaborating with K. Balachander. He was the mentor of actor Kamal Haasan. Career Ananthu was a screenwriter and close associate of director K. Balachander. He also worked with director C. Rudraiah on his two films. In the title card, Rudhraiya had dedicated the film ''Aval Appadithan'' to Ananthu. Ananthu was sub-dialogue writer with Chitralaya Gopu for the films ''Anubhavam Pudhumai'' and ''Galatta Kalyanam'' directed by C. V. Rajendran. Amala Akkineni (''née'' Mukherjee) is an Indian actress, Bharatanatyam dancer, and animal welfare activist. Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, (1 October 1928 – 21 July 2001) was an Indian actor and producer.
