Sab0t
''Sab0t'' is a Mexico City based tabloid pamphlet focused on art, activism, experimental narratives, media and net-culture. It is edited collectively using open source software, by members of the Possibleworlds.org virtual community, which is an economically self-sustained media initiative of the Fiction Department (Departamento de Ficción). Issue 0 was introduced in summer 2005 during a media art exhibition by Daniel García-Andujar and Fran Ilich. In 2007 the publication was presented at Documenta 12 magazines, and during the first semester of 2007 published an issue on la Otra Cultura of The Other Campaign of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation. Fran Ilich
Fran Ilich Morales Muñoz (born 1975 in Tijuana) is a Mexican writer and media artist who principally works on the theory and practice of narrative media. Since 2010 Ilich lives in New York City. Education Fran Ilich studied Latin American Studies at Alliant International University, and obtained a master's degree in Art History and Media at the Danube University Krems in Austria, where he held the 2010 Leonardo Foundation scholarship. Career During the early 1990s he co-founded the Contra-Cultura (menor) collective and was involved in the independent media scene in Tijuana—mainly the cyberpunk scene—where he was known to be an eclectic producer working with literature, photography, comics, videofilms and electronic music. Because of this, he was identified as part of the Generation X of Mexican literature, with other writers such as Guillermo Fadanelli and Naief Yehya. The Zapatista Army of National Liberation (, EZLN), often referred to as the Zapatistas (Mexican ), is a far-left political and militant group that controls a substantial amount of territory in Chiapas, the southernmost state of Mexico. Since 1994, the group has been nominally at war with the Mexican state (although it may be described at this point as a frozen conflict). The EZLN used a strategy of civil resistance. Cornelia Sollfrank
Cornelia Sollfrank (born 1960) is a German digital artist, she was an early pioneer of Net Art and Cyberfeminism in the 1990s. Life and work Cornelia Sollfrank was born in 1960, in Feilershammer, Germany. Sollfrank studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich (1987–1990) and fine art at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg (1990–1994) and she completed a PhD in 2012 at University of Dundee. In 1997, Sollfrank hacked the "world's first" net art competition, ''Extension,'' organized by the Hamburg Art Museum in Germany. Her work, titled ''Female Extension'' (1997) involved the creation of 289 computer-generated websites created by combing the Internet and combining fragments of HTML into exquisite corpse-like websites. Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics. It was found that different atoms and different elementary particles, theoretically with the same amount of matter, have nonetheless different masses.
