SZA
Solána Imani Rowe (born November 8, 1989), known professionally as SZA ( ), is an American singer and songwriter. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she began making music in the early 2010s, releasing two extended plays before signing with the hip hop record label Top Dawg Entertainment, through which she released '' Z'' (2014), her third EP and first retail release. That same year, she co-wrote " Feeling Myself" with Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé. In 2016, she was featured on Rihanna's song "Consideration". SZA's debut studio album, ''Ctrl'' (2017), was released to universal acclaim from music critics. It debuted at number three on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). At the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, the album earned her four nominations, including Best New Artist. In 2020, it was placed on ''Rolling Stone''s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. ''Ctrl'' (pronounced "control") is the debut studio album by American singer SZA. It was released through Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records on June 9, 2017. The album features guest appearances from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, and Isaiah Rashad. The deluxe edition includes seven additional tracks and was released exactly five years after the release of the regular version of the album. ''Z'' is the third extended play (EP) by American R&B singer SZA. It was released on April 8, 2014, by Top Dawg Entertainment. After amassing two self-released EPs, ''See.SZA.Run'' and '' S'', as well as meeting with members of Top Dawg Entertainment, she subsequently signed a recording contract with the indie label. The recording of the EP took place in Carson, California during the summer of 2013 with the help of her Top Dawg labelmate Isaiah Rashad, among others. "Consideration" is a song recorded by Barbadian singer Rihanna from her eighth studio album ''Anti'' (2016). It was co-written by featured artist SZA, with Rihanna and the song's producer, Tyran Donaldson. The soundtrack for the 2018 American superhero film ''Black Panther'', based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and produced by Marvel Studios, consists of an original score composed by Ludwig Göransson and original songs performed or curated by Kendrick Lamar.
