SV Waldkirch
SV Waldkirch is a German amateur football club from Waldkirch, Baden-Württemberg. Founded in 1908, the team plays in the Verbandsliga Südbaden in the sixth tier of the German football league system. History The club has long been a non-description amateur side. In 1960 it earned promotion to the tier three Amateurliga Südbaden but lasted for only one season before being relegated again. The club returned to the league in 1965 and played again as a lower table side until winning a league championship in 1969. It marked the club's strongest area with another league championship the year after, a second place in 1971 and a South Baden Cup win in 1972. The club declined after this and was relegated again in 1974. The Verbandsliga Südbaden is a German amateur football division administered by the South Badenese Football Association, one of the 21 German state football associations. Being the top flight of the South Baden state association, the Verbandsliga is currently a level 6 division of the German football league system. 2013–14 Verbandspokal
The 2013–14 Verbandspokal, (''English: 2013–14 Association Cup'') consisting of twenty one regional cup competitions, the Verbandspokale, was the qualifying competition for the 2014–15 DFB-Pokal, the German Cup. All clubs from the 3. Liga and below could enter the regional Verbandspokale, subject to the rules and regulations of each region. Clubs from the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga could not enter but were instead directly qualified for the first round of the DFB-Pokal. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. Waldkirch is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located 15 kilometers northeast of Freiburg im Breisgau. The 2014–15 DFB-Pokal was the 72nd season of the annual German football cup competition. It began on 15 August 2014 with the first of six rounds and ended on 30 May 2015 with the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
