Structured Product Labeling (SPL) is a Health Level Seven International (HL7) standard which defines the content of human prescription drug labeling in an XML format. Spore photoproduct lyase (''SP lyase'', ''SPL'', ''SplB'', ''SplG'') is a radical SAM enzyme that repairs DNA cross linking of thymine bases caused by UV-radiation. There are several types of thymine cross linking, but SPL specifically targets 5-thyminyl-5,6-dihydrothymine, which is also called spore photoproduct (SP). Spore photoproduct is the predominant type of thymine crosslinking in germinating endospores, which is why SPL is unique to organisms that produce endospores, such as ''Bacillus subtilis''. Other types of thymine crosslinking, such as cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD) and pyrimidine (6-4) pyrimidone photoproducts (6-4PPs), are less commonly formed in endospores. The Scottish Poetry Library is a public library specialising in Scottish poetry. Since 1999, the library has been based at 5 Crichton's Close, just off the Canongate in Edinburgh's Old Town. Finnish Wood Workers' Union
The Wood Workers' Union ( fi, Puutyöväen liitto, SPL) was a trade union representing wood industry workers in Finland. The Wood Workers' Union was founded in 1925, but was banned in 1930. Later that year, supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) founded a new Finnish Wood Workers' Union, which affiliated to the Finnish Federation of Trade Unions (SAK). By 1958, the SDP supporters had been marginalised in the SAK, leading the Wood Workers to disaffiliate. In 1960, it became a founding affiliate of the Finnish Trade Union Federation (SAJ), while the SAK established a new rival, the Wood Workers' Federation (PTTL). In 1961, the union renamed itself as the Finnish Wood Industry Workers' Union. The SAK and SAJ merged in 1969, forming the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions, which both the SPL and the PTTL joined.
