SK Austria Klagenfurt (2007)
SK Austria Klagenfurt is an Austrian football club, based in the Carinthian capital Klagenfurt, currently playing in the Austrian Bundesliga. History The emergence of the club marked the end of all efforts to establish an all-Carinthian team to play in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, pushed by the state's government under Jörg Haider. Austria Klagenfurt was already founded in 2007 ahead of the formation of the SK Austria Kärnten football club, but began playing not before SK Austria was dissolved in 2010 and it had merged with SC St. Stefan. SK Austria Klagenfurt plays its home matches at the Hypo Group Arena. The club adopts the tradition of the former SK Austria Klagenfurt founded in 1920, renamed FC Kärnten in 1999, which was dissolved in 2009. A second attempt by the FC Kärnten to enter the Bundesliga, backed by the Carinthian governor Jörg Haider, was successful in 2001. The team was again relegated in 2004, nevertheless in view of the coming UEFA Euro 2008 the Carinthian government resolved upon the reconstruction of the stadium. It ...

Liga. They have generally achieved at least mid-table finishes at this level, and won the Regionalliga Süd title in 2004. In 2010–11 Bayern II finished last in the 3. Liga and was thus relegated to the Regionalliga. They afterwards regained promotion by winning the 2018–19 Regionalliga and won the 3. Liga in 2019–20.
