SHL (motorcycle)
SHL is a brand of Polish motorcycles, produced from 1938 until 1970 by Huta Ludwików, later KZWM Polmo-SHL in Kielce (small parties were made in the WFM in Warsaw). Pre-war The Huta Ludwików (''Ludwików Ironworks''), founded in 1919 in Kielce, at first produced hardware and agricultural machines. From 1938 it started production of a motorcycle of its own design, using 98 cm³ British Villiers engines (parts of the engines were locally manufactured). The motorcycle was named SHL 98 - SHL being short for '' Suchedniowska Huta Ludwików'' (''Ludwików Ironworks of Suchedniów'', as the works were initially owned by a foundry in Suchedniów). Huta Ludwików (literally Ludwików Steelworks, often abbreviated SHL) is one of the oldest and best-known Polish metal parts manufacturers. The company is a subsidiary Of Kielce-based Zakłady Wyrobów Metalowych joint-stock company. Huta Ludwików is a major producer of automotive parts, supplying most European automaker. Shillong Airport is a domestic airport serving Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, India. It is located at Umroi, situated from the city centre. History The airport was constructed in the mid-1960s and became operational in the mid-1970s. Land measuring 224.16 acres was acquired for expansion of the airport in 2009. The work commenced in June 2009 and was completed in May 2010. The new terminal building, built at a cost of Rs. 30 crore, was inaugurated in June 2011.
