SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim
SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim is a German association football club from the Kirchheim district of the city of Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg. The club's greatest success has been promotion to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg on three occasions, in 1984, 1996 and 1998. It last played at this level in the 2000–01 season. The club has also qualified for the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, on two occasions courtesy to North Baden Cup wins. History SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim was formed in 1945 but the roots of some of its department date back earlier. The gymnastic department dates back to 1879, when the TV 1879 Kirchheim was formed while the footballers originated in the ''Fußballgesellschaft'', formed in 1910. The Verbandsliga Nordbaden is a German amateur football division administered by the Baden Football Association, one of the 21 German state football associations. Being the top flight of the Baden state association, the Verbandsliga is currently a level 6 division of the German football league system. Overview The league was formed as Amateurliga Nordbaden in 1945 in the northern half of the then-state of Württemberg-Baden, which is now the northwestern part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Hertha BSC II is the reserve team of Hertha BSC that is based in Berlin, Germany. Historically, during the time the senior team played in professional football the team has played as Hertha BSC Amateure. Since 2005 it permanently plays under its current name. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. SV Waldhof Mannheim is a multi-sports club, located in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg. It is most known for its association football team; however, there are also professional handball and table-tennis sides. The club today has a membership of over 2,400. The North Baden Cup (German: ''Badischer Pokal'' or ''BFV-Pokal'') is one of the 21 regional cup competitions of German football. The winner of the competition gains entry to the first round of the German Cup.
