SGMW Motor Indonesia
PT SGMW Motor Indonesia (also called SAIC-General Motors-Wuling Motor Indonesia or simply Wuling Motors Indonesia) is a subsidiary wholly owned by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (SGMW), a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors and Liuzhou Wuling Motors Co Ltd to handle their Indonesian operations. It is the first Chinese automotive company to build a manufacturing plant in Indonesia. Unlike their operations in China, SGMW Indonesia only marketed vehicles one marque, Wuling Motors, instead of both Wuling and Baojun. Chevrolet Captiva
The Chevrolet Captiva is a compact crossover SUV marketed by General Motors under their Chevrolet marque. The first generation was developed by GM Korea, based on the GM Theta platform and derived from the S3X concept car revealed in 2004. Released in 2006, it was sold internationally as Chevrolet Captiva, in Australia and New Zealand as Holden Captiva and in South Korea as Daewoo Winstorm until 2011, when the international name was adopted. Baojun 530
The Baojun 530 () is a two or three-row compact crossover SUV produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) through the Baojun brand. Unveiled at the Auto Guangzhou 2017, Baojun 530 took design cues from the smaller 510 and is a successor of the 560, while the 560 remained briefly on sale as a cheaper alternative. The crossover is an example of an extensive badge engineering, as it is marketed under four different brands in several different markets. The Baojun 530 started sale in China in February 2018. It started production in Indonesia in January 2019 as the Wuling Almaz, making Indonesia the first market outside China to receive the 530 model. In the automotive industry, rebadging is a form of market segmentation used by automobile manufacturers around the world. To allow for product differentiation without designing or engineering a new model or brand (at high cost or risk), a manufacturer creates a distinct automobile by applying a new "badge" or trademark (brand, logo, or manufacturer's name/make/marque) to an existing product line.
