SBS M
SBS M is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by SBS Medianet, a division of SBS Media Holdings. It features South Korean pop artists, international music, news, and a few reality and variety programs. It was launched in 2001 as the South Korean version of the US MTV. In 2011, it came under the SBS Paramount unit, a joint venture of SBS Medianet and Paramount Networks EMEAA and became SBS MTV. In June 2022, SBS and Paramount ceased their joint-venture, and the channel was renamed as SBS M. During its run as SBS MTV, it carried programs originally from the American MTV, along with a few Asian programs of its MTV Asian counterparts. The second incarnation of Viacom Inc. ( or ; a portmanteau of Video & Audio Communications) was an American multinational mass media conglomerate with interests primarily in film and television, which was formed on December 31, 2005, as a spin-off of the original Viacom (founded by Ralph Baruch in 1952 as CBS Television Film Sales). It was one of two companies which succeeded the original Viacom, alongside the second incarnation of CBS Corporation; both were owned by National Amusements, a theater company controlled by businessman Sumner Redstone. ''Yogobara'' (; acronym in Korean for 요즘 고딩들의 바깥 라이프; lit. ''Social Life of High Schoolers Nowadays'') was a South Korean television program which aired on SBS MTV every Sunday at 10:30 ( KST). It was also simulcasted through Naver V Live. The show began on July 29, 2018. The show aired for 10 episodes for its first season. ''Yogobara'' is hosted by Umji and Yoon Sanha. It is a program that empathises with teenagers, especially those in the range of 13 and 18 years old, by listening to their concerns and worries, and providing tips to ease difficulties they face in their social life. Format Teenagers are recommended to share their concerns through social media (10jam app and ''Yogobara'' official twitter account). ''MTV School Attack'' is a television show in Korea where pop stars perform surprise concerts at junior high and high schools in South Korea. Format A typical episode of ''MTV School Attack'' begins with the host school summoning all students to an assembly. An administrator or teacher will then give a lecture which bores students. However a siren will then start blaring while a School Attack banner is unveiled. Fiestar ( ko, 피에스타) was a South Korean girl group formed by Kakao M. Before the group's debut, they released a duet with label mate IU titled “Sea of Moonlight” for LOEN Entertainment's collective label album. The track ended up being a domestic success and entered the top ten of the Gaon Digital Chart, earning the group attention before their debut. The group officially debuted on August 31, 2012 with the single album "Vista" and six members: Cao Lu, Jei, Linzy, Hyemi, Cheska and Yezi. The group released their second single album "We Don't Stop" on November 9, this time to mixed reviews. On March 20, 2014, member Cheska officially left the group. In July of that same year, they released a song titled "One More" to backlash and controversy due to its supposedly risqué lyrics, the song ended up being banned from broadcast by MBC, and the group had to change the lyrics for their follow up promotions. KiZmom is a children's and family network in South Korea owned by CJ E&M. From 2003 until 2022, the network space was the home to the domestic version of the American channel Nickelodeon. TVING
TVING () is a South Korean online streaming service operated by TVING Corporation, a joint venture of CJ E&M (CJ Group), Naver and JTBC. It is a platform that streams dramas, entertainment shows, exclusive television films and specials. History TVING was launched on May 31, 2010, by CJ HelloVision. In January 2016, the service was transferred to CJ E&M. On September 17, 2019, CJ E&M and JTBC signed an MOU to establish a joint venture company to operate the service.
