S83 Lankao–Nanyang Expressway
The Lankao–Nanyang Expressway (), often abbreviated as Lannan Expressway () and designated as S83 in Henan's expressway system, is long regional expressway in Henan, China. History The first phase of the expressway is from Xuchang to Nanyang via Pingdingshan and was called as Xupingnan Expressway (). This section was opened on 12 December 2004 and provided expressway connections to the above-mentioned three major cities in Henan. The second phase (Lankao–Xuchang section) was opened on 19 November 2005. The third phase was opened on December 19, 2005. Qi County or Qixian () is a county of Kaifeng, Henan, People's Republic of China, with an area of 1243 square km and a population of 1.05 million. Tanghe County is administered by the prefecture-level city of Nanyang, in the southwest of Henan province, People's Republic of China, bordering Hubei province to the south. Its ancient name was Tangzhou (). Zhenping County () is a county in the southwest of Henan province, China. It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Nanyang. Introduction Zhenping was known in ancient times as Nieyang. It has a long history of jade carving for more than 4,000 years, and it is known as the jade capital of China. Nanyang Jiangying Airport
Nanyang Jiangying Airport () is an airport serving the city of Nanyang in Henan Province, China. It is located near Jiangying, in Wancheng District, east of the city center. The airport was opened in October 1992 and expanded in 1998. It is currently undergoing another phase of expansion. Facilities The airport has one runway that is long and wide (class 4D), and an terminal building. History The original Nanyang Airport was built in April 1934 and occupied by the Japanese during World War II. After the war it was used as a military airport with some civil flights. In October 1992 the new Jiangying Airport was built at the current location with an investment of 77 million yuan, and the old airport was closed. The new runway was long and wide. Yanling County () is a county in the central part of Henan province, China. It is the easternmost county-level division of the prefecture-level city of Xuchang. History Human habitation of the area began around 6000 BC. In the early Zhou Dynasty, the area became the state of Yan ().
