S7N (pronounced "seven") is a Mexican Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Mexico City, founded in 2012 by guitarist and vocalist Mao Kanto and guitarist Guillermo García. History Formation, demos and ''Fearless'' (2009–2013) S7N was formed in 2009 in Mexico City by guitarists Mao Kanto and Guillermo García. The name was adopted after Kanto's personal experience on July 7, 2007 (07-07-07). A few months later, guitarist Israel Monroy, bassist Lalo Olvera, and drummer Zared joined the band. During the early years, S7N performed as a cover band while writing their first original songs. Zared departed the band in 2012, leading to the inclusion of Fabián Carreño on drums and the beginning of the recordings for their debut album, ''Fearless (S7N album), Fearless''. ''Deadline'' is the second studio album by the Mexican heavy metal band S7N, released on June 17, 2016. In 2016, the album was nominated for Best Metal/Hardcore Album on the 15th Independent Music Awards. Production and promotion The band recorded the album in SMStudios in Mexico City during February and March, 2016. The album was produced by Allison's singer Erik Canales, who also participated with arrangements. The album was crowdfunded during the first trimester of 2016, allowing fans to be part of the recording sessions as a reward. Eduardo Carrillo and Manuel Vázquez, from SMStudios and Mexican progressive metal band Agora, served as audio engineers, with Vázquez also collaborating with "Innocent Guilty"'s guitar solo composition and recording. The band's debut single "Innoncent Guilty" was released on April 29, 2016, with a lyric video via YouTube. ''Fearless'' is the debut studio album by the Mexican heavy metal band S7N, released on November 25, 2013. ''Fearless'' produced two singles, considered the most well-known songs from the band, "Blackout" and "Double Dealing". In 2014, the album was nominated for Best Metal Album in Mexico's Independent Music Awards. Production and promotion The band recorded the album in TRM Lab in Mexico City during April and May 2013. The album was produced by Allison's singer Erik Canales, who also participated with arrangements. Singles The band's debut single "Blackout" was released on June 24, 2014, with a music video directed by Cheeno Mesdrage. Vive Latino - Festival Iberoamericano de Cultura Musical is an annual music festival held in Mexico City. It is one of the most important music festivals in Mexico, featuring a great variety of groups of many genres. The event takes place in Foro Sol usually in the months of March and April. Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many lineup changes, leaving bassist D.D. Verni and lead vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth as the only constant members. Molotov is a Mexican rock band formed in Mexico City in 1995. Their lyrics, which are rapped and sung by all members of the group, feature a mixture of Spanish and English. The band members also switch instruments and roles depending on what song they are performing. Biography The band began in 1995 when two friends, Tito Fuentes (guitar) and Micky "Chicho" Huidobro (bass), started playing together. La Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del Quinto Patio (, usually called only "La Maldita") is a band formed in Mexico City in 1985. They are pioneers of rock en español and one of the most influential rock bands in Mexico. Caifanes
Caifanes is a rock band from Mexico City. Formed in 1987, the group achieved international fame during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original line-up was Saúl Hernández (vocals and guitar), Sabo Romo (bass guitar), (drums) and Diego Herrera (keyboards and saxophone). Alejandro Marcovich later joined as lead guitar player.
