Sylhet Railway Station
Sylhet railway station is a railway station in Bangladesh. There are two types of rail lines in Bangladesh Meter gauge and Broad gauge. This station is connected with meter-gauge link on both sides from Chhatak and Dhaka. This railway station is situated in Sylhet city. The newly formed Sylhet railway station was inaugurated in 2004. With the supervision of A.K. Rafique Uddin Ahmed, representing Engineering and Planning Consultants Ltd., was the chief architect of the project. The station has three platforms History In response to the demands of the Assam tea planters for a railway link to Chittagong port, Assam Bengal Railway started construction of a railway track on the eastern side of Bengal in 1891. Kamalapur Railway Station
Kamalapur Railway Station, officially known as Dhaka Railway Station, is the central railway station in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. It is the largest station and the busiest infrastructure for transportation in the country that acts as a gateway of the country's capital. It is also considered to be one of the most modern and striking buildings in the decade of its establishment. It was opened on 1 May 1968. It was built during the Pakistan period but its railway line was built during the British Indian period. Kalni Express
Kalni Express (Train no. 773/774) is an intercity train which runs between Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh) and Sylhet (north-eastern major city). Kalni Express was conceived to be the non stop train of Dhaka-Sylhet route of Bangladesh Railway but it has since lost that status. History Kalni Express made its inaugural run on 15 May 2012 with a view to meet demands of increasing passengers of Dhaka-Sylhet route . Parabat Express
Parabat Express (Train no. 709/710) is an intercity train which runs between Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh) and Sylhet. Parabat Express has been considered one of the prestigious and luxurious trains since the inception of intercity train in Bangladesh in 1986. The train connects two important cities of Bangladesh. Sylhet Polytechnic Institute ( bn, সিলেট পলিটেকনিক ইনস্টিটিউট) or SPI is a state supported technical academic institute located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was established in 1955 by the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) government. It was named as ''Sylhet Polytechnic Institute'' in 1959. Surma River
The Surma River ( bn, সুরমা নদী) is a major river in Bangladesh, part of the Surma-Meghna River System. It starts when the Barak River from northeast India divides at the Bangladesh border into the Surma and the Kushiyara rivers. Keane Bridge
The Keane Bridge is a notable landmark of Sylhet city, Bangladesh. This bridge is called ''the gateway to Sylhet city''. After Earl Robert Miller, the ambassador of USA to Bangladesh visited the bridge and recommended its sole use as a pedestrian bridge, no vehicles are allowed to drive through the bridge.
