Henry Syer Cuming
Henry Syer Cuming (1817 – 7 October 1902) was a British collector of objects, art and antiquities, notable for exposing the Shadwell forgeries, and who bequeathed his collection to what is now the Cuming Museum, in Southwark, South London. Cuming spent his life building on the work of his father Richard Cuming (1777–1870), a collector from Walworth in South East London. Father and son were both fascinated by collecting things from the everyday lives of people all over the world, but Cuming's interests were more local than his father's, and he pursued them more seriously. Cuming collected thousands of objects from the ordinary lives of south Londoners in the 1800s, from theatre adverts and rail tickets, to cheap toys and good luck charms. His collection included thousands of ancient objects dug up by labourers building the canals, docks and railways that profoundly changed London in the 18th and 19th centuries. John Syer
John Syer (1815–1885) was an English painter. He painted landscape in a style formed chiefly upon that of William Muller, but failed as a colourist. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the British Institution, and with the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol, as well as the British Artists, between 1832 and 1875. He died in July, 1885 and was buried in a family grave on the eastern side of Highgate Cemetery Highgate Cemetery is a place of burial in north London, England. John Syer Bristowe
John Syer Bristowe (1827–1895) was an English physician. Life Born in Camberwell on 19 January 1827, he was the eldest son of Mary Chesshyre and her husband, John Syer Bristowe, a medical practitioner in Camberwell. He was educated at Enfield School and King's College School, and entered St Thomas' Hospital as a medical student in 1846. There he won prizes, with the treasurer's gold medal in 1848, and in the same year obtained the gold medal of the Apothecaries' Society for botany. In 1849 he was admitted a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and on 2 August 1849 he received the licence of the Society of Apothecaries. In 1850 he took the degree of MB of the University of London, gaining the scholarship and medal in surgery and the medals in anatomy and materia medica; in 1852 he was admitted MD of London University. Roll Deep
Roll Deep (formerly Roll Deep Entourage) are a British grime crew. They were founded in 2001 by Wiley shortly before the disbandment of UK garage crew Pay As U Go Cartel. The group have had two UK No. 1 singles, " Good Times" and " Green Light", won an Urban Music Award, and between 2001 and 2012 they released five studio albums before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2013. Current member Wiley and former members Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder have gone on to be successful solo artists in the UK, with songs that have topped charts.
