Tollcross International Swimming Centre
The Tollcross International Swimming Centre is a swimming pool and leisure centre in Glasgow. It hosted the Swimming events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The centre hosted the IPC Swimming World Championships during July 2015. Technical features It has one Olympic standard 50 metre swimming pool, which was extensively upgraded, and a second 50-metre pool which was added as a warm-up facility. The pool was reopened on 24 May 2013. The seating capacity of the Pool is 2,000, rising to 5,000 with temporary seating during the Commonwealth Games. Martina Carraro (born 21 June 1993) is an Italian swimmer. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in 100 m breaststroke and 200 m breaststroke. She was European champion in short course in the 100 m breaststroke at the 2019 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Career 2012–2018 In 2012, Carraro moved to Bologna, joining the Swimming Club Azzurra 1991 led by the coach Fabrizio Bastelli. On 9 July 2015, at the 2015 Gwangju Universiade, he sets the Italian record in the long course on 50 meters breaststroke, with a time of 30.89 in the semifinal, improving his previous record of 31.00 set in Rome during the 2015. Jessica Vall Montero (born 22 November 1988) is a Spanish competitive swimmer and breaststroke specialist. She has a degree in Biomedicine from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and has worked at Barcelona's Biomedical Research Center. She swims for Club Natació Sant Andreu, where she has trained for over five years with her coach Jordi Jou, ex-elite swimmer also for C.N. Sant Andreu. Anna Sztankovics (born January 10, 1996) is a Hungarian swimmer, who specializes in the breaststroke events. She is the current holder of the Hungarian record in the 50m breaststroke event both in long course and in short course. Sztankovics was born in Budapest. She won two gold medals in the 100 m breaststroke at the 2011 European Junior Swimming Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, and at the 2012 European Junior Swimming Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.
