The men's 100 metre freestyle competition of the Swimming at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, swimming events at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships was held on 5 August with the heats and the semifinals and 6 August with the final. Asian Record holder Ning Zetao became the first Chinese male ever to win the 100 meter freestyle at the World Championships. Coming from second at the halfway turn, Ning beat Australian favorite Cameron McEvoy to win his first ever World Championship medal in 47.84. McEvoy finished second in a time of 47.95, while Argentina's Federico Grabich emerged as a serious sprint freestyle threat, winning the bronze and his nation's first ever World Championship medal in 48.12. Ning Zetao
Ning Zetao ( or ''Níng Zétāo''; or ; born 6 March 1993) is a Chinese former competitive swimmer. Specializing in the freestyle, he won a gold medal in the 100 metre freestyle at the 2015 World Championships. At the 2014 Asian Games, he won gold medals in the 50 metre freestyle, 4 × 100 metre medley relay, 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay, and 100 metre freestyle, breaking the Asian records in the latter two events. Ning also swam for China at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but failed to proceed to any final at the meet. James Feigen (born September 26, 1989) is a former American competition swimmer who specializes in freestyle events. He won a gold medal for the 4x100-meter freestyle relay for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Previously, he won a silver medal as a member of the second-place U.S. team in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Personal life Feigen was born in Hilo, Hawaii. Kristian Tsvetanov Gkolomeev ( bg, Кристиан Цветанов Голомеев, el, Κριστιάν Τσβετάνοφ Γκολομέεφ, born 4 July 1993) is a Greek swimmer. He specializes in sprint freestyle and butterfly events. Paweł Korzeniowski
Paweł Korzeniowski (born 9 July 1985) is a Polish competitive swimmer who won the 200-meter butterfly at the 2005 World Aquatics Championships in Montreal. He also competes in the freestyle events. Initially trained by Paweł Woźnicki in Oświęcim-based Unia Oświęcim club, in 2005 he was transferred to Warsaw-based AZS AWF Warszawa club, where he has been trained by Paweł Słomiński.
