Piscines Bernat Picornell ( en, Bernat Picornell Pools) is a swimming venue situated in the Olympic Ring in Montjuïc, Barcelona. The venue consists of three swimming pools: a 50m indoor pool, a 50m outdoor pool, and a pool for diving. It hosted the swimming events, synchronized swimming events, the water polo final, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon event for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The swimming pools are for public use and are open all year long. Marcel Wouda
Marcel Reinier Wouda (born 23 January 1972) is a former Dutch swimmer, who became the first Dutch world champion in men's swimming when he won the world title in the 200 m individual medley at the 1998 World Aquatics Championships in Perth, Australia. He was the coach of Olympic champions Maarten van der Weijden and Hinkelien Schreuder at the Nationaal Zweminstituut Eindhoven. Swimming career Wouda was born in Tilburg and grew up in Uden, where he joined the 'De Zeester' swimming club at a very young age. His trainers were Martien Swinkels and Rob Kennis, who brought him to the top of Dutch swimming. Matthew Stephen Dunn (born 2 September 1973) is an Australian former freestyle and medley swimmer who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. Dunn trained at the Australian Institute of Sport under Russian swimming coach Gennadi Touretski, who also taught Alexander Popov. Dunn was a specialist in the short course (25 m) events, and won several medals in the event in the 1990s. He was a multiple Commonwealth Games gold medallist in the medley events and set a world record in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur alongside Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim and Daniel Kowalski. Jan Bidrman (born 2 April 1966 in Rakovník, Czechoslovakia) is the head coach of the Calgary Academy of Swimming Excellence and the high performance coach of Swim Alberta. Formerly a decorated international athlete in Sweden, Bidrman was selected to the Swedish National Swim Team for both the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Swimming career Bidrman was a member of the Czechoslovak national team from 1980 to 1985, until his arrival in Sweden where he competed for the Malmö KK swim club. In 1988, Bidrman was selected as a member of the Swedish Olympic Team, but was unable to compete due to regulations concerning transfer of representative country. Curtis Allen Myden (born December 31, 1973) is a former breaststroke and medley swimmer from Canada, who competed at three consecutive Summer Olympics in 1992, 1996 and 2000.
