Amel Melih ( ar, آمال مليح; born 6 October 1993) is an Algerian swimmer. She represented Algeria at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Her time of 25.77 in the women's 50m freestyle was not enough to advance out of the heats and she finished in 35th place overall. Ekaterina Avramova ( bg, Екатерина Аврамова; born 12 November 1991, in Sofia) is a Bulgarian-born swimmer competing for Turkey. Career She learned how to swim at age 7 and her first coach was Jorj Stankovich. Her mother had represented Bulgaria in water polo. Avramova started her professional swimming career in 2007 representing Bulgaria at the European Short Course championship in Debrecen (Hungary). From that year until end of 2013 she represented Bulgaria in every major international competition. She broke the national backstroke records more than 70 times, both LC and SC.
