Kosuke Hagino
is a Japanese former competitive swimmer who specialized in the individual medley and 200 m freestyle. He is a four-time Olympic medalist, most notably winning gold in the 400 m individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Hagino holds the Asian Records in the 400 m individual medley (long course), the 100 m and 200 m individual medley (short course). With Team Japan, he holds the Asian Record for the 4×100 m freestyle relay (short course). Hagino attends Toyo University, and is coached by Norimasa Hirai. He is one of the only two Asians to have been voted World Swimmer of the Year. Background and personal Kosuke Hagino was born in Tochigi, Tochigi, Japan on 15 August 1994. Jung Won-Yong (also ''Jeong Won-Yong'', ko, 정 원용; born May 16, 1992, in Gyeonggi-do) is a South Korean swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and individual medley events. He won a bronze medal, as a member of the South Korean swimming team, in the 400 m freestyle relay at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. Jung qualified for two swimming events at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, by eclipsing FINA B-standard entry times of 2:02.50 (200 m individual medley) and 4:18.98 (400 m individual medley) from the FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China. In the 400 m individual medley, Jung challenged seven other swimmers on the second heat, including two-time Olympian Raphaël Stacchiotti of Luxembourg. Pang Sheng Jun (born 4 September 1992) is a Singaporean former national swimmer. Early life and education Pang started swimming from the age of four upon doctor's recommendation due to his asthma. He began competitive swimming at six years old. In 2014, he received an Outstanding Sports Achievement Award for swimming from the Singapore Sports School. He studied Sports Science and Management at the Nanyang Technological University. Career At the 2009 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Laos, Pang finished fourth in the men's 200m and 400m individual medleys.
