Only 8 relays were entered in the event, and consequently, it was only swum once (in finals). Omar Andrés Pinzón García (born June 17, 1989) is a competitive swimmer who represented Colombia at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece and 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. Pinzón attended college in the United States, where he swam for the University of Florida. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Pinzón finished in thirty-fifth place in the men's 200-meter backstroke. Pinzón competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke, the 200 and 400-meter individual medley, and the 200-meter butterfly. Bradley Kevin Ally (born December 11, 1986) is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Barbados. He represented Barbados at the Barbados at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004, 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He was the bronze medalist in the 200-meter individual medley at the Pan-American Games in Brazil 2007. He holds the List of Barbadian records in swimming, Barbadian Record in the butterfly and individual medley events, as well as the 200-meter freestyle. Ally was born in Barbados in 1986. Andrei Cross (born 2 June 1984) is a Barbadian former swimmer, who specialized in the breaststroke events. Cross represented his nation Barbados at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and in two editions of the Commonwealth Games (2002 and 2006), establishing a national record of 29.24 in the 50 m breaststroke.
