Franziska Van Almsick
Franziska van Almsick (; born 5 April 1978) is a German swimmer. She won her first Olympic medals in 1992 at the Barcelona Olympic Games aged 14. Her career began at the SC Dynamo Berlin. She has the distinction of having the most career Olympic medals, ten, without ever winning a gold medal. She ended her career at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Karen Denise Pickering, MBE (born 19 December 1971) is a former freestyle swimmer from Great Britain. Swimming career She made her international senior debut in 1986. She was first selected to represent her country at the European Junior Championships. Pickering competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. Jessica Elizabeth Craig, known as Jecca Craig, is a British environmental conservationist and doctoral student at University College London. She helped found Panthera, the world's largest wildcat conservation organization and Stop Ivory, an independent NGO aiming to protect elephant and stop the trade in ivory. Malin Svahnström (born 10 June 1980) is a Swedish Olympic swimmer currently representing Väsby SS. Svahnström participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics, both times as a part of a relay team. Jessica Deglau (born May 27, 1980) was a member of the Canadian Olympic team in swimming in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. Deglau swam for the Vancouver Pacific Swim Club in her youth, until becoming a member of the national team. In addition to swimming on the national team, she swam for and graduated from the University of British Columbia. The Vancouver native first broke the Canadian record in the 200-meter butterfly at the 1996 Olympics clocking 2:11.68 for sixth spot and bettered it two years later at the world championships, again finishing sixth.
