David Andrew Wilkie (born 8 March 1954) is a Scottish former competitive swimmer who was Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion in the 1970s. Rick Colella
Richard Phillip Colella, Jr. (born December 14, 1951) is an American former breaststroke swimmer who represented the United States at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1972. Colella's sister Lynn was also an Olympic swimmer. In 1971 Richard and Lynn won the ''Seattle Post-Intelligencer'' Man of the Year award. Colella finished fourth in the final of the men's 200-meter breaststroke at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, he finished third and received the bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke, his signature event. Colella and his wife Terry have raised four children, Elise, Mariel, Brian and Angie. For the past seven years, the Colellas have dedicated themselves to raising money for research to find a cure for facioscapulohumeral disease (FSHD), a common form of muscular dystrophy that affects their son Brian. Sérgio Pinto Ribeiro
Sérgio Pinto Ribeiro (born May 27, 1959 in Porto Alegre) is a former international breaststroke swimmer from Brazil, who participated in two consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1976. He was trained by Mauri Fonseca, who participated in the 1964 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo. He swam for the Grêmio Náutico União club, but in 1974, the club finished with amateur sports. His coach Mauri was fired, but he did a contract with the Rio Grande do Sul Federation, to train the state team, and the Federation also covenanted with Grêmio Náutico União to use their pool, which at the time was the only heated pool in the city. Participated at the inaugural World Aquatics Championships in 1973 Belgrade, replacing José Fiolo. Peter Hermann Hrdlitschka (born November 6, 1955) is a former Canadian competition swimmer. At 2 years of age, Hrdlitschka immigrated, with his parents Doris and Frank, to Ocean Falls, British Columbia, Canada where, at age 5, his competitive swimming career began with a 3rd-place finish for freestyle. The Hrdlitschka family moved to Vernon, British Columbia in 1965. In 1970, Hrdlitschka set the Canadian record for boys 13-14 100-metre breaststroke. In 1972, he finished 4th at the Canadian Olympic trials and moved to Vancouver to train with the Canadian Dolphin Swim Club and the National Development Team Program.
