Carl Barcklind
Carl Barcklind (1 June 1873 – 21 August 1945) was a Swedish stage actor, stage and film actor. Biography Carl Vilhelm Barcklind was born at Sala in Västmanland County, Sweden. He made his debut as an opera singer in 1907 at the Oscarsteatern. He was associated with Albert Ranft as an actor in operettas in his theaters 1898–1922. Barcklind was director of Stora Teatern in Gothenburg 1925–1927. He toured the United States from 1927 to 1928 and was employed by the Dramaten in 1930. Barcklind is buried at Norra begravningsplatsen in Stockholm. Karin Ekelund
Karin Ekelund (26 May 1913 – 21 December 1976) was a Swedish actress. She appeared in 29 films between 1933 and 1976. She was the first female radio producer in Sweden, producing, and later directing, for Sveriges Radio's Radio Theatre. She performed in mainly comedic films, although she did have a few serious roles to her name. She was one of the most famous actresses of her time and often drew large crowds of fans. Biography Karin Ekelund was born in Ystad, Scania, Sweden, in 1913, the daughter of professor Sam Ekelund and Anna Lindström. She graduated from Palmgrenska samskolan at 17. Ekelund studied at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy from 1930 to 1933, after which she acted in both theatre and film. She worked at Vasateatern from 1934 to 1936, Oscarsteatern from 1938 to 1939 and the Malmö City Theatre from 1944. Edvin Adolphson
Gustav Edvin Adolphson (25 February 1893 – 31 October 1979) was a Swedish film actor and director who appeared in over 500 roles. He made his debut in 1912. He appeared with Ingrid Bergman in ''Only One Night'' (1939), and is noted for his roles in the film ''Änglar, finns dom?'' (1961), the television version of August Strindberg's ''Hemsöborna'' (1966), and as Markurell in ''Markurells i Wadköping'' (1968). He also directed the first Swedish sound film, '' Säg det i toner'' in 1929. He was actress Harriet Bosse's third husband (1927–1932) and is father of actress Kristina Adolphson (b. 1937) and songwriter/composer Olle Adolphson (1934–2004). Adolphson was born in Furingstad, Sweden (Östergötland County), and died in Solna, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Thor Modéen (22 January 1898 – 28 May 1950) was a Swedish actor and comedian who was active in both movies and on stage. Thor Modéen Teatern, a 3D cinema and theater in Kungsör, was named in his honor. Biography Thor Odert Folke Modéen was born in Kungsör, Sweden. He began his career as a dancer and singer. He became a student with director Muck Linden at the Lorensberg Theater in Gothenburg in 1916 and subsequently appeared with Novilla, Folkteatern, Södra Teatern, Oscarsteatern, Vasateatern and Folkets hus in Stockholm,.
