The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC) ( sv, Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté (SOK)) is the Swedish National Olympic Committee (NOC). Ice Hockey At The 1984 Winter Olympics
The men's ice hockey tournament at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, was the 15th Olympic Championship. The Soviet Union won its sixth gold medal. Games were held mostly in the arena portion of the Olympic Hall Zetra, with some played in the arena portion of the Skenderija Olympic Hall. The IIHF did not run a championship in Olympic years at this time. Nations that did not participate in the Sarejevo Olympics were invited to compete in the Thayer Tutt Trophy. All pool 'A' teams were included however the German Democratic Republic declined to send a team. The host Yugoslavians as well as the top pool 'B' teams were added. Håkan Eriksson (ice Hockey)
Håkan Lars Elias Eriksson (born January 24, 1956) is a retired Swedish ice hockey player. Eriksson began playing hockey in Bjurfors IF but was acquired by Skellefteå AIK in 1974. He became Swedish champions with Skellefteå in 1978, and was a part of Sweden's 1979 World Championship team that won bronze. During the following season he was also part of Sweden's Olympic team in the 1980 Winter Olympics. After four seasons with Skellefteå, Eriksson moved to Stockholm and Djurgårdens IF. He won his second Swedish championship in 1983 with Djurgården. He was the team captain for two seasons, from 1982 to 1984, when he finished his career in Djurgården. During his final season in Djurgården he was again part of Sweden's Olympic team in the 1984 Winter Olympics. Thom Lennart Eklund (born October 28, 1958) is an ice hockey player who played for the Swedish national team. He won a bronze medal at the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics. Håkan Södergren
Karl Håkan Södergren (born 14 June 1959 in Rosersberg, Sweden) is a retired professional ice hockey player, often a recurring color commentator in Viasat's ice hockey broadcast productions. Playing career Södergren played for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in the Swedish elite league Elitserien during his entire professional career, winning the Swedish Championship four times. He finished his active playing career with Huddinge IK in the second tier in the Swedish league structure. Internationally he played in 162 games with the Swedish national team, winning gold at the 1987 World Ice Hockey Championships and bronze at the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics. He was awarded the ''Stora Grabbars Märke'' (no. 125) and the ''Guldpucken'' (Elitserien Player of the Year) in 1987. Djurgården has retired number 22 in his honor. Jens Erik Öhling (born 3 April 1962) is a retired professional Swedish ice hockey player. He played for Djurgårdens IF during most of his professional career. He made his debut in Elitserien in 1979 against Västra Frölunda. Öhling was the team captain during the 1995–96 season.
